Problemi di batteria per Nokia Lumia 800?
Il vostro Nokia Lumia 800 ha problemi di batteria? Nessun problema, Nokia lo aggiornerà all’inizio del 2012, ma, se non potete aspettare, Nokia ve lo sostituisce.
Poche ore fa Nokia ha comunicato che nel 2012 è atteso un importante aggiornamento firmware per Nokia Lumia 800, che andrà a correggere il problema della scarsa durata della batteria riscontrata da alcuni utenti.
Se non potete attendere, però, Nokia provvederà a sostituirvi lo smartphone difettoso. Al momento non abbiamo comunicazioni ufficiali da Nokia Italia, ma la divisione europea ha confermato questa notizia, di conseguenza anche in Italia dovrebbe essere possibile richiedere la sostituzione del telefono.
Ricordo, comunque, che Nokia ha già rilasciato qualche giorno fa un primo firmware update per Lumia 800, che in alcuni casi ha risolto il problema della batteria. Per alcuni utenti, però, il problema sembra permanere. Per risolvere anche questi problemi Nokia ha già in previsione un nuovo aggiornamento firmware, che arriverà nei prossimi mesi.
Nel frattempo, però, se la batteria del vostro smartphone non vi soddisfa, potete contattare un centro assistenza Nokia per farvi sostituire lo smartphone.
Attenzione, però, non tutti gli smartphone saranno sostituiti, ma solo quelli effettivamente colpiti da questo bug della scarsa durata della batteria.
Per controllare se il vostro smartphone è affetto dal bug della batteria, digitate ##634# sulla tastiera del telefono. Accettate il disclaimer, selezionate la voce “Battery Status” dalla lista delle opzioni e vedrete alcune voci.
Controllate la voce “available battery charge capacity” (non so di preciso a cosa corrisponda in italiano, ma dovrebbe essere “capacità disponibile della carica della batteria”), se notate un valore inferiore a 100mAH significa che il vostro smartphone è affetto dal bug/problema.
Per risolvere potreste provare a ricaricare più spesso il telefono. Con il futuro aggiornamento firmware il problema sarà risolto, ma, come abbiamo detto in precedenza, se non volete attendere il rilascio del firmware potete richiedere la sostituzione del telefono.

We immediately started to investigate these reports and can now confirm that while the battery itself is fine, a software problem on certain variants is limiting the phone’s ability to access the full battery capacity. We want to stress that this issue has not been found to affect the recently introduced Nokia Lumia 710.
The good news is that as this is a software problem it can be easily resolved. The planned software update in early 2012, as well as including many performance enhancements, will also include a fix that will enable the affected phones to access the total battery capacity. For anyone who does not want to wait for the software update, Nokia can arrange for a replacement phone. Anyone who requires any further clarification should contact Nokia Care (Care contact details and locations can be found at www.Nokia.com/support).
Anyone who wants to know if their phone is affected can run the battery status test from the diagnostics tool already installed on their phone. (The tool is designed for service use and only displays approximate values.) Dialling ##634# opens the diagnostics tool. By accepting the disclaimer and then selecting ‘Battery Status’ from the list of options, anyone will be able to see their available battery charge capacity. If your full charge capacity reads less than 1000 mAh then your phone is affected with this specific issue and you may find it is necessary to charge your phone more frequently than normal. Once the software update has been applied, you should experience much better battery life. In the meantime here are some tips on how to increase your battery performance and you should also make sure you are using the charger that came with the phone, as older chargers may not be as effective at charging the new Nokia Lumia 800.
